CBP launches new trusted traveler mobile app
WASHINGTON — U.S. Customs and Border Protection has launched a new Trusted Traveler App mobile app to continue its mission to improve and innovate the traveler experience.
“The new Trusted Traveler mobile app brings application and membership management features together with our popular Global Entry arrival confirmation feature,” said Executive Assistant Commissioner Diane J. Sabatino, of CBP’s Office of Field Operations. “Having one official app to support all of our services makes every step of the journey less complicated for travelers.”
The Trusted Traveler App brings the capabilities of two previously available apps into one official app. The free app, available in both the Apple App Store and Google Play, helps travelers manage their applications to Global Entry, NEXUS, SENTRI, or FAST. It supports membership updates, enrollment interview scheduling, and the ability to renew memberships. The app also allows Global Entry members to confirm their international arrivals with CBP when arriving at a U.S. airport.
Currently, 85 airports and multiple CBP Preclearance locations support the new Trusted Traveler App. Travelers who have used the previous Global Entry Mobile App and/or Trusted Traveler Programs App can download the new app and sign in using their existing credentials, and their profile and membership information will transfer over. The previously available apps have been discontinued.
Global Entry, one of the Department of Homeland Security’s Trusted Traveler Programs, provides expedited clearance for prescreened, low-risk travelers upon arrival in the United States. All applicants undergo rigorous background checks and in-person interviews before enrollment.
Global Entry has millions of members worldwide benefiting from expedited entry services each year. Through these partnerships, CBP continues to promote secure and efficient travel while fostering stronger multilateral relationships.
